Kat Graham And Ian Somerhalder Raise Thousands For The Water Project Charity Alongside Co-Stars And Other Celebrities

On December 10, The Vampire Diaries stars Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder hosted “The Ripple Effect” to support The Water Project Charity. Celebrities and LA socialites came to the Sunset Luxe Hotel to enjoy a multi-course meal complete with drinks and donate their support to building five wells across Africa to bring clean drinking water to people across the continent. The event was held in association with Somerhalder’s ISF foundation.

Kat Graham became passionate about The Water Project after she helped build a well in Uganda where people do not have daily access to clean water. Working with Jane Owen PR, Kat planned every detail of the event, from the taste tests to picking out flower arrangements.

Celebrities that attended to support the cause include Emmy Rossum, Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino, Jenna Ushkowitz, Arielle Kebbel, Krysten Ritter, Camille Winbush, Christa B. Allen, Deborah S. Craig, Matt Lanter, Tiffany Hines, Judi Shekoni, Perez Hilton, Tamra Barney, Eddie Judge, Bianca Lawson, James Kyson Lee, and Marisa Quinn. Matthew Koma, best known for his hit “Novocaine Lips” on the Abduction soundtrack, entertained the celebrity audience.

A highlight of the night was the friendly bidding war between Michael Trevino and Tiffany Hines, who bid back and forth on a Dodgers VIP package in the live auction. Fans in audience bid on other packages such as a trip to Atlanta to visit the set of The Vampire Diaries.
